What is tTerm

tTerm is the cloud terminal for your servers and computers. The machines stay yours, while terminals, the history of commands and notes live in the cloud. Close your laptop in the middle of a build, open your phone, and the build is still going. No keys on the device and no open ports needed.

  • The cloud terminal, tTerm Web – in your browser, at app.tterm.net. All your machines, terminals and notes from a laptop, a tablet or a phone.
  • The local terminal – an app for the Mac: the shells of this computer and the whole cloud in one window. It works without an account too: the Mac version. Versions for Windows and Linux are in the works.
  • The Telegram bot – a terminal right in the chat, @tTermNetBot. For now it lives apart from the web.
  • Project – machines and notes together. Everyone has the Personal project, and you can make your own beside it, each with its own code and color.
  • Machine – a Linux server connected over SSH, or a computer on macOS or Linux with a small agent.
  • Terminal – a real shell on the machine: bash or zsh, as it is set up there. It lives in the cloud, not in a tab: close the tab, and the terminal keeps running.
  • Block – one command with its output, exit code, time, folder and git branch. A block is easy to copy, run again and find by search.
  • Note – Markdown in the project’s folders: checklists, commands and how-tos next to the machines they are about.
