Plan and limits
While tTerm is in beta, it is free for everyone. Every account has the Free plan, with everything tTerm does today: no card, no trial.
The limits
Section titled “The limits”The Free plan allows up to 50 machines and up to 24 open terminals.
All the machines in your projects count, servers and computers alike. A Mac signed in with tTerm for Mac counts too: it becomes a machine in Personal. A machine you remove stops counting.
Open terminals are your terminals that have not ended, on any machine. Closing a tab does not end its terminal, so it still counts, and so does a terminal that waits for a sleeping computer. A terminal stops counting once it ends: you end it, or its shell exits.
Where you see it
Section titled “Where you see it”At the bottom of the sidebar, under your name, it says Free plan. The Account page, in the menu there, shows the plan, Free, with Up to 50 machines and 24 open terminals, and two meters of what you use now: Machines and Open terminals, such as 3 of 50. The limits there are always the ones that apply.
At a limit
Section titled “At a limit”- With all 50 machines in use, Add a machine gives no command: the window says Could not make a command and why. Remove a machine to add another.
- With 24 terminals open, a new one does not open: tTerm says Could not open a terminal, how many are open and how many the plan allows. End one to open another.
How long history is kept
Section titled “How long history is kept”- A command and what it printed are kept 30 days: in its terminal’s feed, in the input line’s history and in search.
- The machine’s log keeps the command’s line a year, and search finds it there: what was run, who ran it, when, how it ended, how long it took and where, with the notes under it. What the command printed goes after 30 days, as the log says at the top: Lines are kept a year, what commands printed 30 days.
Paid plans
Section titled “Paid plans”Paid plans come later. You will hear about them well in advance, and they will appear on the Account page before anything changes.
